Deleting your MoonCats account
How
Sign in to MoonCats, open Settings → Account, and choose Delete my account. You'll type DELETE and, if your account has a password, enter it to confirm. Deletion happens immediately — there is no grace period and no undo.
What gets deleted
Your account, sign-in credentials, and any household where you are the only member — along with every record in it (pets, medications, dose history, expenses, vet notes).
What is kept
If you share a household with other caretakers, its records stay so the household keeps an accurate history. Dose logs, journal entries and vet notes you added remain, and they keep showing the name you had when you wrote them — that name is stored as a copy on each record. What is removed is the link to your account: the entries are no longer connected to a MoonCats user. This is deliberate, and it cannot be reversed.
If you own a shared household
If you are the only owner of a household that has other members, deletion is blocked until you transfer ownership to someone else (from that household's settings) — a household can never be left with no owner.
